The test determines how well a heat transfer fluid protects metals used in thermal fluid systems, such as:
Carbon steel
Copper
Brass
Stainless steel
Aluminum (if applicable to the system)
Precision:
Repeatability, reproducibility and bias are not established as the method is designed as a comparative corrosion screening test.
