Foaming

Foaming of lubricants is a very important aspect for a lubricating oil. The tendency of oils to foam can be a serious problem in systems such as high-speed gearing, high-voume pumping, and splash lubrication. Inadequate lubrication, cavitation, and overflow loss of lubricant can lead to mechanical failure. The Tamson Foaming Dual bath can be used for foaming tests conform ASTM D892, IP 146 and ISO 6247. The Tamson foaming bath can also be used for High temperature foaming in accordance with ASTM D6082 and IP 453.
